About VitalSwap: How it began and where we’re going

It all began in the year 2016 when our Co-Founder Akinsola, experienced many struggles trying to pay tuition fees to his University in the US.

So, he began to seek ways to develop a peer-to-peer payment solution for Nigerians who needed to send money to loved ones abroad or make any other form of international payment.

Think of the hassle people typically go through each time they want to carry out any financial transactions involving foreign businesses or individuals.

Between 2016 and 2021, Akinsola left for the United States to further his education and got trained in accounting and software development, giving him the background, he needed to execute his vision effectively.

By the 3rd quarter of 2021, Akinsola and his cofounder Ayodeji took up the project again and began building the Beta version of the app which was launched in February 2022

Within the first two weeks, VitalSwap got its first 100 users

After our first 100 users, our co-founder Ayodeji developed and deployed several growth initiatives that increased user onboarding and app usage significantly

Within a short time after launching the Beta version, we had more than 1,000 users on the app have done over 1 million dollars in transactions without any marketing efforts.

Why We Rebranded

At VitalSwap, we understand that we are in business to serve customers, so we spoke to a good number of our users to find out what their experience has been like using our app.

Having listened to feedback from our users about their pain points while using the app, we went to work on those issues and now we have built a better product for our users.

Our customers will no longer have to pay transaction fees when they move money from their bank to their wallet and vice versa. We’ve taken away all those extra charges. The times are challenging and you need not bear any additional financial burdens.

Significant partnerships with notable businesses:

In tandem with our promise of making life convenient for our customers, we onboarded notable businesses across the globe like Copart which will enable our users to easily pay for goods and services right from their wallets.
